That’s great. I’ve started playing with the tb_SphericalHarmonics patch, and it really is a thing of beauty. The only issue I have, though it isn’t really an issue, is that I can get my 4G iMac down to single-digit frame rates if I tweak the parameters right. Thanks for the great patch!
interesting you should say it brings your iMac to it’s knees, as I thought this one was relatively ‘light’ in terms of GPU-usage. What graphics card does your machine have, just out of interest? Maybe you could give me an idea of the settings and values that really slow things down. Could easily be some kind of bug in the GLSL shader code…
