toneburst, i like your work and your blog in general and I’m a pretty frequent visitor. This is slightly off-topic but I thought i should mention… Everytime i land on a page here–any page– it hangs for a bit and then i get the “flash player abort script” dialog since there’s a bug within one of the flash modules you are using in your template (not sure what it is, i don’t think its the vimeo..) I’m on osx/firefox, i don’ think versions matter since i’ve been getting this error for a year now while i changed osx/flash/firefox versions. Anyway, no big deal but it would enhance the experience at least for one of us if you fixed it! :]
thanks for the positive comments. Always good to see someone getting something out of my doodles and random jottings.
Re. the FireFox thing- it’s the Flash Box.net file-download widget I use. A few other people have mentioned they’ve been having the same problem. I’m not sure there’s much I can do about it, unfortunately. The problem only seems to be effecting a few people, but quite a lot of people have been downloading files, so it’s a question of balancing the one thing against the other, I guess. From my point of view, it’s by far the easiest way to allow people to download my files, so, on balance, I think I’m going to stick with it, and hope an update eventually appears (for the widget, for FireFox or for the Flash plugin) that will fix the problem. You should be OK using Safari- that’s probably not what you want to hear though..
awesome work as always. i was wondering if you ever published any tutorials? I’m interested in learning what you’re doing.
any chance of posting this one?
wonderful!
