tb SuperFormula

OK, since a couple of people have asked, I’m releasing a version of the Superformula QTZ. It’s by no means complete, but it might be a good starting-point for someone to develop something else, or just refine the controls a bit. No normal-calculation or lighting, but this one has spherical and toroidal modes, for added fun.

    Hi 639me,

I know what you mean about variable names. I left them as they were, since they’re the names of the variables in the original formula. It’s hard to know what to cal them, otherwise. The variables are basically split into two groups though- one group work on the X axis, the other on the Y, so you could repeat the same set of names…

    I thought of names like

    ‘Bloat’
    ‘Sharpness’
    ‘Inflation’
    ‘Deflation’

But eventually decided to stick with the more mysterious original names.

If you come up with anything though, let me know..

        Hiya,

I did this some time ago, in a previous version of QC (the one that shipped with Leopard, in fact), so it’s entirely possible it doesn’t work in the newest version of the QC Editor. I will investigate if I get a chance.

Sorry for the ridiculously late reply, incidentally. I’ve been caught up in other things lately, and haven’t had a chance to keep up with activity here, sadly.

        Cheers,
